AWARDS & RECOGNITION

Google 4+ Customer Rating

Handling more than 5.4 billion searches per day, Google is the most used search engine on the World Wide Web. To help their algorithms sort through billions of web pages and provide the most relevant results to their users, Google provides consumers with an opportunity to leave a business review, which includes a rating from one star (poor) to five stars (excellent). Google then averages the ratings to determine an overall star rating.

CMS 5-Star Center Recognition

Our Center has received a Five Star Quality Measures rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). The Five-Star Quality Rating System is a tool to help consumers select and compare skilled nursing care centers.  Created by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in 2008, the rating system uses information from Health Care Surveys (both standard and complaint), Quality Measures, and Staffing. The Nursing Home Compare website features the rating system.

AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award

The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program recognizes long term and post-acute care organizations across the nation for quality. Based on the Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework, a nationally recognized method for improving business performance, the Program sets levels for quality and excellence. The Program has three levels of awards: Bronze – Commitment to Quality, Silver – Achievement in Quality, and Gold – Excellence in Quality, each of which set progressively higher standards for performance. By moving through the three award levels, organizations will improve the quality of the care and services they provide.

Which nursing homes were eligible for rating?

All Medicare- and Medicaid-certified nursing homes that were part of the CMS nursing home provider census made available in were evaluated by U.S. News. Nursing homes did not apply nor did they provide any data or materials to U.S. News.

To be eligible for a Short-Term Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care or Overall rating, a home must have met both of the following inclusion criteria:

  • Received reimbursement from CMS.
  • Had sufficient data to evaluate quality in that rating.

What makes a nursing home a U.S. News Best Nursing Home?

To be recognized as one of the U.S. News Best Nursing Homes, a home must have been “High Performing” in short-term rehabilitation, long-term care or both. Out of the 15,007 nursing homes evaluated by U.S. News, 2,804 (19%) met those criteria. Of those:

  • 1,918 homes were High Performing in short-term rehabilitation.
  • 1,353 homes were High Performing in long-term care.
  • 467 were High Performing in both.

My pawpaw was here for several months at the end of his life. First starting with rehab to hopefully get him home and they were absolutely amazing!! Unfortunately his cancer had another plans and eventually spent his last days here after he specifically requested to be here after a hospital stay. They honestly have the best CNAs, Nurses, support staff, and just all around amazing and compassionate people working here. During his last week of life they provided our family not only with peace of mind knowing they would help us with bathing and keeping my pawpaw turned and comfortable but also emotional support and knowing that they had also came to love my precious pawpaw. Also provided us with sandwiches, drinks, and snacks for the family so we didn’t have to worry about food and just spending time with our loved one which helped so much. They gave us time with him after his passing and time for family to say their goodbyes. We were never rushed or pushed to do anything. I could honestly say every night and day he was there I knew they were taking care of him the way they would want their loved one taken care of. Thank you so much to everyone at Lincolnton rehabilitation for giving my pawpaw exactly what he wanted during his last days. I will forever be grateful to each and everyone of you.
